A Note on More Important Things
We don’t know about you, but 2022 so far has been a doozy of a year at Charlotte House. We’ve been sick (COVID & a variety of other mild ailments), tired (three kids…), and every time we think we’ve finally caught up on things, something else seems to go haywire.
But as we get back to blogging and sharing our progress online, it feels more important than ever to acknowledge the insignificance of the issues we’re dealing with when compared to suffering and devastation that’s happening abroad.
There is obviously major turmoil and literal warfare going on in the world right now. We’re grateful for the relative safety and security we experience in our home and community, and we do not take that for granted. There are so many people fighting for their lives and families, and we know that our “struggles” can be described as mere inconveniences in the grand scheme of things.
While we realize our own obstacles pale in comparison, this blog and our social media accounts are simply a creative outlet for us and source of information and entertainment for our community. This slice of the internet is about what’s going on here at Charlotte House, and so we’ll continue with our regularly scheduled programming.
Please, however, understand that the events in Ukraine and its effects on millions of people worldwide are constantly on our minds and are infinitely more important than anything we’re sharing here.
what do you think?
